Operations Supply Chain Analyst

The Grimbergen Facility Health team’s mission is to shape broad Grimbergen conglomerate solutions and guide the operations team towards operational excellence through embedded safety, high quality, lean velocity, at a competitive cost in a continuous transformational warehouse environment by:

1) Providing data-driven insights

2) Exploring innovative solutions

3) Laying the foundations for the improvement of existing and new set-up of buildings and processes

4) Maintaining existing and implementing new set-up of storage grid

5) Ensuring products go to the best suited storage type driven by slotting

Facility Health (FH) maintains a bird’s-eye view considering the entire supply chain, available infrastructure and changing circumstances and also acts as a center of excellence for the EAME region​​​​​​​.

Within the domain of (not limited to) Storage, Slotting and Processes we are looking for a talented, highly motivated professional to fill a role as Operations Supply Chain Analyst.

Job Requirements/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Be a liaison between Operational teams and Facility health. Improve operational excellence through continuous improvement on processes, storage, slotting and other FH related topics.

  • Have strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain a close cross departmental collaboration with a wide variety of teams including other FH teams, Operational teams, Global Parts Supply, Packaging teams and Inventory Management.

  • Ability to effectively receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs. Be able to bring this information to the core.

  • Fluency in English with appropriate oral and written communication and presentation skills to convey a story towards a diverse audience.

  • Able to present in a clear and professional manner by using communication tools such as PowerPoint, meetings, trainings, …

Daily work and documentation:

  • Capacity to set priorities and establish a work plan with the ability to be agile in a changing environment.

  • Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy, ability to complete tasks with expected level of precision and be able to document in a well-structured and organised manner.

  • Initiative-driven, independent, self-motivated personality seeking for opportunities.

  • Interest in exploring data and uncover actionable insights using fact finding techniques and outside the box thinking contributing to business growth and improvement.

  • Drive slotting and storage improvements.

Technical knowledge, learning, building knowledge and expertise:

  • Good understanding or interest in expanding knowledge, learning, and using different tools (SAP EWM, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).

  • Eagerness to learn new techniques and broaden your skillsets.

  • Problem solving, doing the work, executing various improvement projects to deliver results:

  • Be customer oriented, placing yourself in the perspective of involved stakeholders.

  • Interest in approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving problems.

  • Ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Identify and document specific problems and resolution alternatives.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Some experience within change management.

  • Some experience in process development and implementation, ability to translate processes to constructive procedures, guidelines and policies.

  • Insights on supply chain, warehousing and logistics management: Knowledge of processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods, interest in understanding, predicting and controlling the movement of goods.
