Logistics Parts Operations Consultant

This role will be an integral part of the regional Cat Parts Operations workstream, with initial focus on studying, analyzing, designing, implementing, optimize and monitoring Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations. In this position, the incumbent will team up with stakeholders and team members across different divisions and implement solutions on time, in line with the strategic guiding principles of the transformation journey and in preparation for future services growth.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting (operational, innovative, sustainable, strategic..) improvement projects for the facilities within the EAME region
  • Supporting and executing network wide lean optimization projects in order to reduce touches and in line with T2.0 Strategic Guiding principles (Grimbergen Direct, RFID,…).
  • ILT governance process owner across all EWM facilities in the network: Define, implement, communicate, and validate Labor Codes Strategy.
  • Support global facilities in productivity and performance reporting. Due diligence of existing reports: Safe-guard accurate data, validate and enhance reports.
  • Implement Corrective Actions on Performance report discrepancies.
  • Analytical benefit analyses on potential global (replication) projects. Delivers objective analyses and reviews of (feasibility) studies.
  • Participate in monthly innovation touchpoints: scout for and implement innovative initiatives to achieve our PQVC targets.
  • Identify sustainable solutions to specific problems
  • Close collaboration with global facilities to share standard principles and best practices.
  • Define different milestones and process steps related to assigned projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert in cross-functional teams

Role qualifications/requirements:

  • 4-year Engineering, Logistics, IT or Business Degree  or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in process development and implementation
  • Able to resolve diverse problems using a structured approach
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in Lean/SixSigma principles
  • Ability to translate reports to constructive powerpoint presentation
  • Able to present in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Good time management and priority setting skills
